President Donald Trump is “furious” at Washington D.C. District Attorney Jeanine Pirro after she dismissed the case against Olympian David Hearn, who was charged with destroying the lining of the Reflecting Pool after climbing off of his bicycle and sticking his hand in the water.

At issue was that the Justice Department’s own evidence after an FBI investigation showed that the problem with the pool was a botched installation, not vandalism.
CNN reported Monday afternoon that Trump is so angry he wants to fire Pirro, two people confirmed.
One of the sources told CNN that Trump “fumed about her all weekend.” They think it’s “highly likely she’s removed from her job.”
The president had no idea the news was coming, said another source, calling him “blindsided.”
“The president did not know beforehand that she was going to do that,” said the source.
“Frankly, I think she choked, because the judge was really vicious. Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after her and went after her department, and I guess she choked,” Trump said on Monday during an Oval Office executive order signing.

On Friday, the Justice Department submitted a court filing saying that the $14 million renovation was “hasty and botched.” Charges against Hearn dropped.
One of the sources said that Trump and Pirro spoke on Saturday and it “wasn’t pretty.”
While she’s been a loyalist for a long time, the evidence simply wasn’t there, the court filing said. Pirro reportedly told Trump that it was her staff that did the filing, another source claimed.
That same day, Trump ranted about the ordeal, posting to Truth Social: “I disagree 100 percent with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of vandalism.”
Pirro also blamed Department of Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, saying the department “provided less than fulsome information at the outset of this case.”
“Had DOI been forthcoming with the information clearly in its possession, the government would not have sought a grand jury indictment,” Pirro’s filing read.
