Two hours into a four-hour discussion between UFC fighter Sean Strickland and former U.S. Navy SEAL and Blackwater contractor Shawn Ryan, the former revealed that when he goes to the reddest areas of the country, Republican men he’s speaking to are furious at President Donald Trump.

After a rant attacking “godless” people and the LGBTQ community, Strickland turned to speak about Trump. He told Ryan, it’s “crazy how mainstream — that how unpopular Trump is.”
“Cuz I’ll go to places like — I went to Florida. I met a Texas guy. Like when we’re talking about, like, hardcore Republicans and even these guys are like, I just I can’t do anymore with Trump. I just feel … betrayed. And like Trump to me, everyone’s like, like I was talking to this, like, really wealthy guy about like Iran and he was like, ‘Ah, … Whatever. I don’t care.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, you don’t care because like you you’re a multi-millionaire.’ But I was like, dude, you got to think about like every other American in Florida, Texas that are making like what is the average like I think it’s like $50,000 – $60,000.”
Strickland said that adding 4 percent inflation to gas is like adding thousands of dollars in expenses to that year of their life.
“Like you are like crushing families,” said Strickland. “Like not me, me and you, we don’t [care]. Gas could be $100. … B ut it’s like the people that have voted [for] you, that rallied around you, like you actively just … spit in their face for what, dude?”
He then began describing what it is like at a Trump rally, explaining, “‘Oh, I could definitely see how Hitler happened.’ Like I’m not even … joking to you, dude. When you go to a Trump rally, it makes you question the sanity of everybody. Like Trump’s up there talking about like we’re going to throw people in jail for burning the flag, and I’m like, like, I mean, again, you shouldn’t do it, but it’s like, you know, there is, there was a … Constitution.”
He described being with “Vivek,” possibly Vivek Ramaswamy, who is running for governor in Ohio. Strickland said that he was rubbing his head and ultimately got up to leave.
Strickland said that he firmly believed that if Trump told someone to shoot someone, that they would do it.

“I know. It’s a cult,” agreed Ryan. He recalled being invited by the White House to travel on Air Force One and fly on Marine One and he turned it down. Ryan said he felt like the White House was “trying to capture me and put chains on me so that I can never leave you.”
Strickland said that he thinks to fully see someone’s character, “see how he acts to a bad guy who’s nice.”
“And so what I mean by that is like when you meet bad people and they do bad things, they’re the first one to shake your hand and like hold the door for you [but that’s not] where character matters and your foundation matters,” said Strickland.
He said that Tucker Carlson makes similar statements and commented that he thinks Trump might be “demonic” because when someone meets him he’s “so charismatic,” said Strickland, a former MAGA loyalist until recently, once said he would “take a bullet” for Trump.
“He’s so nice that you’re like you almost could overlook — if you don’t have a strong will and a strong character you could almost get sucked in and then you just become part of the machine. It’s so hard when you meet charismatic people like that that are just so … good at getting you to lower your guard and be accepted.”
That’s what a Trump rally is, he said. He said that he had so much love from MAGA world, but once he began asking questions about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, MAGA began to hate him.
