{"id":5284,"date":"2026-08-25T04:11:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T04:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nextaddressamerica.com\/?p=5284"},"modified":"2026-08-25T04:11:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T04:11:11","slug":"canadian-premier-delivers-furious-message-to-trump-amid-renewed-trade-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nextaddressamerica.com\/?p=5284","title":{"rendered":"Canadian premier delivers furious message to Trump amid renewed trade war"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Ontario Premier Doug Ford was furious on Monday when he spoke with a local radio station about President Donald Trump&#8217;s renewed trade war with Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextaddressamerica.com\/?p=5282\">\u2018The Republicans are messing it up\u2019 \u2014 and everybody knows it<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>The Toronto Sun<\/em> reported Ford&#8217;s comments when speaking Monday morning with Bill Carroll Show on Newstalk 1010. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, he can kiss my a\u2014\u2014 as far as I\u2019m concerned,\u201d Ford made clear to Trump. <\/p>\n<p>He also attacked Trump a \u201cbully\u201d as well as \u201carrogant and cocky.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the Associated Press Monday, Ford said, \u201cHe underestimates Canada. We\u2019re all in. Up here, we\u2019re at a fever pitch; everyone\u2019s in for an economic war. They know they\u2019re going to have to sacrifice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ford said that Trump has \u201cdeclared war, economic war against his closest friend and ally.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the first time Ford has unleashed on Trump, even going so far as to threaten to flip the power switch to the United States. That threat came back as Ford explained to the AP, \u201ceverything is on the table\u201d if the trade war continues, including cutting off power and minerals from Ontario. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll cut them off,\u201d Ford said of critical minerals. \u201cYou won\u2019t get a grain of sand out of Ontario.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe power 1.5 million homes and businesses,\u201d Ford explained. \u201cEverything\u2019s on the table.
