\u201cSeveral days later and I can\u2019t help it. It\u2019s too funny,\u201d said comedian John Fugelsang of white supremacist militia group, the “Patriot Front,” marching through the streets of Capitol Hill on the 250th birthday of the United States. Videos showed that a few hundred men showed up with face coverings, waving Confederate flags along with American flags, including some that were inverted. <\/p>\n

But Fugelsang couldn\u2019t get over other aspects of their appearance, calling them the \u201cDockers Reich; aka March of the Masked Mediocrities; aka The League of Extraordinary Virgins.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDid you catch it? Day of the Living Incels?\u201d asked Fugelsang on his substack. \u201cA quarter-millennium after the US declared that all men are created equal, a few hundred masked white nationalists decided the best way to celebrate was to march through Washington, D.C., hiding their faces and waving Confederate flags. And what could be more MAGA than celebrating America\u2019s birthday with participation trophies from the losing side of the Civil War, while dressing like you\u2019re all headed to the same outlet mall. All of them in Khakis, all of them wearing masks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese guys always say, \u2018We\u2019re defending Western civilization.\u2019 Yeah, Skip? Then why do y\u2019all always look like you\u2019re trying to avoid being recognized by your manager at Best Buy?\u201d Fugelsang demanded. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to square \u2018take our country back\u2019 with \u2018please don\u2019t tag me in the photos.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian acknowledged that he\u2019s supposed to be shaking his head in anguish about the normalization of racism and the \u201cbig victory goose-step\u201d after all the cultural erasure and the gutting of the Voting Rights Act. But the scenery was just too funny. \u201cInstead, beautifully, it was more of a White Supremacy Cowardice flash mob; sponsored by Dockers and parental disappointment,\u201d said the host of progressive talk show “Tell Me Everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s briefly discuss the Klan Bake wardrobe choices: All khakis, all blue shirts. It\u2019s the world\u2019s most aggressively beige fascist movement,\u201d he said. \u201cEvery single one of these tough guy patriots looked like they were headed to an assistant manager orientation at Kohl\u2019s. I mean, I know they\u2019re the Fourth Reich and all, but I kept expecting them to ask pedestrians if they\u2019d ever considered opening a store credit card.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The John Fugelsang Podcast” host also blasted the absurdity of a group claiming to be \u201cpatriots\u201d while carrying flags of the Confederacy, which literally tried to destroy America. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Confederacy only lasted four years, bros. Costco memberships last longer,\u201d said Fugelsang. \u201cYou\u2019re still the only team in history whose fans get more enthusiastic every century after losing.\u201d<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s what you get from a group of folks dressed like they\u2019re \u201crobbing a Hobby Lobby\u201d despite being proud of their beliefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf your movement is destined to save America, it\u2019s curious that nobody in it wants their boss to know they attended,\u201d Fugelsang chided. \u201c\u2026 Imagine believing you\u2019re the superior race, while literally covering up your face more than Batman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Only Batman was worried about crooks hurting his loved ones,\u201d he added. These guys are afraid of \u201can email\u201d identifying them to their boss.<\/p>\n

The movement calls itself \u201cpatriotic heritage enthusiasts,\u201d but Fugelsang said they\u2019re just \u201cunmanly racist twits.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re Nazis; with better graphic designers and pleats in your chinos,\u201d Fugelsang howled. \u201cPatriot Front is a racist pyramid scheme, wrapped in Old Navy. <\/strong>But calling themselves \u2018America\u2019s Masked Chickens\u2014\u2014 Ethnostate Appreciation Society\u2019 apparently tested poorly with focus groups.\u201d<\/p>\n
