\u201cWhat they’re doing with Mitch McConnell \u2014 clearly the man is brain dead. Clearly, he’s not here \u2014 and Donald Trump is 80 years old. He has two and a half years left to finish his term,\u201d said Ali. \u201cJim, he’s an old man, and part of life is death. Suppose he becomes incapacitated in some way? Suppose, God forbid, he becomes brain dead. What we’re seeing [with McConnell] is a sneak preview of what they’ll do to cover up Trump’s health.\u201d<\/p>\n

Acosta cited Republican pundits and apparatchiks already claiming to have spoken to McConnell to push the ruse.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are all these people coming out of the woodwork saying \u2018oh I had I had a chance to speak with Mitch McConnell.\u2019 I think [GOP pundit] Scott Jennings came out and said \u2018I spoke with him for 20 minutes\u2019 and then somebody else came out and tweeted that they had spoken with him for 20 minutes. Oh, really? Everybody’s getting their 20 minutes talking with Mitch McConnell,\u201d said Acosta. \u201cOf course they’re going to lie about this and insist to everybody that he’s fine because they don’t want to disturb the balance of power in the Senate right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both agreed Trump is already deep into mental and physical deterioration after falling asleep during the Knicks game, America\u2019s 250th celebration, the Pope\u2019s funeral, and a public meeting with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Trump] literally said we had 11 missiles shot by the \u2018Islamic Republic of Japan.\u2019 He called [Ukraine President] Zelensky \u2018President Putin,\u2019\u201d Ali said, adding that Trump managed to fall asleep during a recent fireworks display in DC that looked like an attack on \u201cFallujah.\u201d They’re unleashing all these fireworks, you see Donald Trump just blinking. He’s knocked out. Madison Square Garden, knocked out. Pope’s funeral, knocked out. Talking to Erdogan, knocked out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would happen if he had troubling bruises on both arms and his neck? What would happen if he were to say \u2018Tic Tac\u2019 instead of Tik Tok and claimed that the Islamic Republic of Japan had fired missiles?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would have been a story for days,\u201d confirmed Acosta. \u201c\u2026 Joe Biden has one episode in one debate. Trump does this every g\u2014\u2014 day of the week. It’s every day. There’s no time off from him being a goofball and literally nothing happens and the media is afraid to call it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still don’t know why he’s gone to Walter Reed so many times,\u201d said Ali. \u201cWe still don’t know why he’s had so many MRIs. When you have these marks on your neck and marks on both palms that’s IV infusions. What are you getting infused with? Why are your cankles swelling? Why are you literally incapable of staying awake? \u2026 Trump is a carnival barker. He knows how to have the cameras look at him, so he knows<\/em> this looks terrible. He knows the cameras are on him, and he still can’t help it and he falls asleep.\u201d<\/p>\n
