\u201cIt’s weekend at Bernie’s in this White House right now,\u201d Karem told ex-MAGA lawmaker Joe Walsh. \u201cHe’s not the same guy that was there in the first administration who would engage,\u2019 He actually liked the give and take with us, me, Jim, Acosta. Johnathan Carl, members of the AP, the people who would push back and question him hard. He liked the give and take. He can’t take it now.\u201d <\/p>\n

When asked if Trump is literally falling asleep most every day in front of cameras and at important meetings Karem confirmed \u2018yes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, it is real \u2026 and what’s bothersome about it is when you have people like Marco Rubio [saying] he’s never seen Donald Trump fall asleep in public while he’s standing in front of Donald Trump falling asleep in public ruins whatever credibility there is,\u201d Karem said, adding that White House credibility is clearly shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s something wrong, physically. And look, I’ve had people off the record from the National Institute of Health and from Walter Reed who are in [his] treatment. They\u2019ll tell me off the record what they think is wrong with him, that \u2018it’s physical, and I think it’s mental.\u2019 And I will say that it’s obvious. You don’t have to be a doctor to understand there’s something wrong. You have to be a doctor to diagnose<\/em> what is wrong,\u201d said Karem. \u201c\u2026 [T]his is nothing compared to what we saw with Reagan. This nothing compared with what we saw with Biden. This is far worse.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDo people around him understand that he falls asleep?\u201d asked Walsh, incredulously.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah,\u201d Karem confirmed. \u201cThey’ll say that off the record. I have plenty of people off the record who \u2014 I know staffers that are distributing memes of \u2018Weekended at Bernie’s\u2019 and they\u2019ve got a picture of Donald Trump as Bernie. You know, it’s out there. White House staffers and former staffers, too. \u2026 Everyone knows. They’re all complicit in covering it up because they have something personal to gain from it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut they won’t go on the record,\u201d Karem added. \u201cThey say the quiet parts out loud, but deflect it when you ask, like \u2026 when Rubio says \u2018I’ve never seen anyone work harder than Trump\u2019 [instead of admitting Trump\u2019s eyes are closed]. All of it is a deflection. All of it is non-transparent.\u201d<\/p>\n
